چکیده

Food is becoming more and scarce due to several negative factors. People only focus on the readily available foods in their vicinity that are limited well-known. Unexplored from forest out of our food baskets a metallic lifestyle creates lot health problems retards development nation. A survey was carried selected districts (Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Keonjhar) Odisha state 2023 enumerated having values. Results revealed snails most common consumed as nutraceutical have fewer scientifically taxa medico-food aspects. In communication, uses Filopaludina bengalensis, freshwater snail, discussed, further advanced work recommended do value addition for sustainable utilization.

Observations on the Embryonic Development of Freshwater Pulmonate Snail Lymnaea Acuminata (lamarck, 1822) (gastropoda: Mollusca)

Molluscs have played important role in strengthening our knowledge of fundamental processes in developmental biology, with the common pond snail Lymnaea stagnalis contributing greatly to this body of literature for nearly a century (Gatenby, 1919; Sturtevant, 1923; Canton and Sloof, 1977). The morphological, morphometric and behavioral aspects of development of L. stagnalis have been well docum...

Evolutionary aspects of population structure for molecular and quantitative traits in the freshwater snail Radix balthica.

Detecting the action of selection in natural populations can be achieved using the QST-FST comparison that relies on the estimation of FST with neutral markers, and QST using quantitative traits potentially under selection. QST higher than FST suggests the action of directional selection and thus potential local adaptation. In this article, we apply the QST-FST comparison to four populations of...
